February's challenge: I dare you to build it
January's challenge: I dare you to plan it
- Planning Challenge: determine what you and your family would need to acquire a 3 month food supply. If your family already has a 3 month supply, assess what long term storage you would like to start building. For food storage guidelines, visit the LDS Provident Living website. A helpful food storage calculator can also be found here (calculations are based on a one year supply).
- Space Challenge: look for food storage space options in your house or apartment. Finding space for food storage often takes considerable creativity, but it can be done. For a few ideas to help get you started, visit this blog post from "Self Reliant Sisters" or this blog post from "Food Storage Made Easy".
